“more of a call to prayer, a siren song, an undeniable force. If you’re in a rough patch, you’ll be grateful for this one.” KCRW

,,, as long as i long to memorise your sky ,,, from elijah jamal asani is out now digitally and on limited edition vinyl.
Blending intuition with intention ,,, as long as i long to memorise your sky ,,, is a vivid stroke of abstract romanticism patiently wandering through ethereal ambient compositions.
“Captured on a field recorder @ the bottom of the grand canyon in summer 2022, ,,, as long as i long to memorise your sky ,,, is an audio journal comprised of letters/sonic confessions spoken between the colorado river and the arizona desert as they converged into the landscape that we know as the grand canyon,” shares asani. “Each song (or journal entry) is an intimate glimpse into the sedimentary sentiments between these natural swains; ultimately giving us a new theory/origin story of how the grand canyon was created.”

Contemplative, meditative, cast in delicate hues, ,,, as long as i long to memorise your sky ,,, is a brilliantly fading memory.
