Speaking on her creative process Carla Azar shared the inherent difficulty presented in this work, and the ultimate path through. “There was a lot of slow-paced beauty there that I didn’t want to mess with so I wasn’t sure how to go about it. I listened to it many times and realized the only way through wasn’t a remix but a reconstruction of elements deep within each individual track” says Azar. “I found fleeting moments of music and sounds that I could remove, chop up, and reanimate with effects. I used those new sounds to construct melodies & musical loops which formed a bed for everything else to move around. All but four of the percussive elements were created and recorded from organic sounds and either looped or played live.”

Cosmic country vibes are tightened and given structure that toes the line between cinematic ambient and club ready. A downtempo weightless jam, the reconstruction breathes new life into what was already a captivating track.
