AKP Recordings - in collaboration with CyKiK, dublab, and The River LA - present Arthur King: Unknown Movie Night on June 18th, 2026.

Founded by experimental musical ensemble Arthur King, Unknown Movie Night is a recurring live scoring event in quadraphonic sound where the selected film is unknown to both audience and band until it begins. Hand-picked film selectors and a rotating cast of artists join Arthur King in making each UMN unique. This event is free to the public, ages 21 and up.

The evening’s score will be recorded and duplicated on-site to cassette, and attendees will be able to take home a free copy at the end of the show. dublab's executive director Lauren Goshinski will bookend the performance with DJ sets.

Jason Lester
is a filmmaker from Los Angeles, CA. He has directed over 150 music videos for some of today's most exciting artists, including Laufey, Hozier, Conan Gray, Sabrina Carpenter, Jack White, Phoebe Bridgers, Kali Uchis, Evanescence, Wallows, Megan Moroney, Zara Larsson, Death Cab for Cutie, and numerous others, garnering nominations at the MTV VMAs, CMT Awards, and the HMVAs. He has also directed feature-length concert films for 5 Seconds of Summer, The War on Drugs, and OneRepublic. He is currently in post-production on his second feature film, Replay, starring Blu Hunt, Peter Vack, Sara Klimoska, Morgan Krantz, & KJ Rothweiler. High Resolution, a feature-length adaptation of Tao Lin's critically acclaimed novel Taipei, starring Ellie Bamber, Justin Chon, Hannah Marks, and Miles Robbins, was released domestically in 2018 on Showtime & worldwide in 2019 through 20th Century Fox Int. In addition to his directing work, Jason co-chairs the pioneering filmmaker alliance We Direct Music Videos which pushes for conditions of transparency and respect within the industry, and hosts events in multiple cities including the flagship Directors Series at Brain Dead Studios in LA.
