βI composed Nest some years ago on my childhood piano at my mom and dadβs house in St. Louis. Since then, both have passed away, their home sold, and the piano given away. I often reflect on the peculiar nature of grief, an experience that's simultaneously ordinary and earth shattering, universal and lonely, an unfurling process of insight without resolution. Nest reflects this meandering form, exploring a bittersweet motif in motion that has no particular destination.β -Β Michelle Moeller
