Coleman Zurkowski is an experimental composer whose work explores the physical and emotional impact that very subtle sonic changes can have on the music listener. Incorporating both electronic textures and organic instruments such as harp, clarinet, and piano, Zurkowskiʼs music assembles an array of aural patterns that slide and converge in a striking manner that resembles the works of pioneering experimental composers such as La Monte Young or Steve Reich while also recalling his roots in noise, black metal, and punk.
